While tower-based systems remain Mitsubishi’s best selling automation, the EL-4 is a great alternative.

The EL-4 features two motorized carts for raw material and twofor completed nests. Unlike dual cart cells (with just 1 material and 1 nest cart), the four-cart EL-4 remains in operation even when changing raw material pallets or removing nests

Due to its reasonable price and high degree of flexibility, some actually prefer a cart-based system over a tower for automating a single laser. But what’s great about the EL-4 is that nothing is wasted if you decide to add a 2nd laser and a tower. You end up with the same dual laser FMS line that you’d have if you installed a turnkey two laser FMS.
