Mitsubishi FMS

Some manufacturers make a decent laser, but have lousy automation. Others offer a load/unload system that can keep pace with one laser, but not two or more.

If you’d like your laser system to successfully grow as your throughput needs grow, a Mitsubishi FMS (Flexible Manufacturing System) is your best choice.

• Heavy Duty – .030” to full sheet 1” load/unload, 8, 12, 16, and 20 shelves available, 6,000 lbs. shelf capacity. Motorized nest carts are 11,000 lbs. capacity.
• Aerial Positioning – each new sheet is pre-positioned on the shuttle, so that when it enters the laser it’s ready to cut. Most competitive systems rely on the laser head to “find” the sheet the perimeter, which delays the start of every single nest.
• Sheets Picked Up Inside the Tower – this is in contrast with competitors who use external load stations. With such systems the shelves have to continually shuttle back and forth from the tower to the load station, wasting both space and time.
• 2nd Laser Won’t Starve – two tower shelves can be designated as load stations. This is a huge advantage on a multiple laser line, insuring that the automation will keep up even when simultaneously running different materials with short cycle times.
