Why Laser Automation?
Mitsubishi has installed more laser automation over the past few years than any other laser manufacturer. Here’s why:
It Works – nearly sixty automated lasers are in operation in Wisconsin and the U.P. alone. Most owners add 2nd lasers to a line, or go on to purchase additional systems.
It’s Fast – what good is a fast laser if your loader can’t keep up? Not a problem here.
- :30 Beam off to Beam on Shuttle Time – as soon as a sheet enters the laser it’s ready to cut.
No time is wasted for the head to “find” the sheet perimeter. - One Pass Gantry – a nest is unloaded and a new sheet reloaded in one pass.
- 1:05 Nest Unload/Sheet Reload – means that the automation will keep up with the laser, even on sheets cut in as little as 65 seconds on a single laser system.
.030” to Full Sheet 1” – magnet, air knife, wave, and thickness verification standard.
Modular – install as a turnkey system, or add automation in the field.
Fast Retrofit – if adding automation means weeks of laser down time, most will never do it. Mitsubishi has retrofitted hundreds of lasers, and has the fastest crew around.
Ncell Shop Floor Line Control – from the leaders in production automation software.
