Mitsubishi River System

Most of our customers are sold on the value of laser automation. Mitsubishi’s River is the next logical step in improving workflow management, reducing labor costs and injuries, and increasing profitability.

River System

The River dramatically improves production efficiency by eliminating the non-value added activities associated with inventory control and administration. The system can be installed as a stand alone rack supplying material to nearby work stations, integrated with a Mitsubishi laser for lights-out operation, or perform both functions.

  • Heavy Duty - tubular steel construction, rather than the angle iron found on some automated racks.
  • Fast – up to 100 meters per minute crane speed.
  • Two Configurations Available – single sided (placed against a wall) or dual sided (racks on either side, elevator down the middle). Both styles are expandable in the field.
  • Load Buffer Station - insures that lasers won’t have to wait for material to arrive.
  • .030” to Full Sheet 1” Load/Unload – to match the capacity of the Mitsubishi lasers.
  • River Navigator Software – network based, tracks material, WIP, finished goods, material allocation, and reorder points. Designed by Ncell, industry leaders in production automation software.

River Case Study:

Fox Valley Metal Tech, a Green Bay job shop, installed a 91 shelf River in 2006. The rack warehouses the bulk of their raw material, feeds two Mitsubishi LVs, as well as supplying material to a turret and waterjet. With an average run quantity of under 10 parts and a wide variety of materials processed during a typical day, the River has been ideal for their application. The system paid for itself in less than two years, according to management, through increased production and reduced labor.
