AKS Robo-Kut Plasma Head
12/04/2009
Edge beveling plasma heads are nothing new. But to get this feature you typically had to shell out big bucks for a huge gantry cutter. No more. You can now get a compact beveling head on AKS's best selling unitized body Accu-Kut in table sizes down to 6' x 12' (as well as the AKS Dura-Kut, available to 17' wide).

Perhaps the most exciting feature of the Robo-Kut head is that it automatically tilts to compensate for the natural angularity of plasma, similar to high end waterjet systems, thus insuring straight holes. It can do so because of a revolutionary compact head design, invented by AKS, that eliminates torch lead wind-up inherent with other beveling systems.

The AKS Accu-Kut is the only unitized table on the market that is totally welded, then machined. Others bolt together fabricated parts to make a table, then tack on a pre-manufactured guide system. The height and quality of the table makes it an ideal platform for Hypertherm's new 30 to 400 amp hi-def HPR-400XD torch. Other features include sectionalized exhaust, a precision drive system, and a low mass high strength bridge.
