Plasma cut 1/2″ holes in 1″ plate? Sure, if you have an AKS system with their ground-breaking Robo-kut beveling head. Come see for yourself at the AKS Fabtech 2015 booth (S-2715) where they will be showing the latest in plasma and waterjet technology. Three cutters will be on display.
Accu-kut – AKS’s best selling unitized body plasma features a heavy duty, fully welded table and a full suite of Hypertherm components: Hypertherm HPR-400XD torch, height control, machine control, and programming software. The 5 axis Robo-kut head is not only great for edge beveling, its also a kerf angle compensation system tilting like a high end waterjet to compensate for the natural angularity of plasma. Two thirds of all AKS cutters sold today are equipped with Robo-kut. The Accu-kut at Fabtech will also have the popular rotary and tube cutting option. The Accu-kut is available from 6′ x 12′ to 10′ x48′.
Dura-kut – is the bigger gantry style plasma system from AKS. Like the Accu-kut, the unit at Fabtech will be equipped with the Robo-kut head and a rotary option. If you are looking for a quality gantry cutter that can accommodate both Hypertherm plasma as well as oxy-fuel, check out the Dura-kut.
X3 Water-kut – is the successor to the Mitsubishi X3 waterjet, now built at the AKS facility in Cleveland. It features a KMT Pro60, 90K psi intensifier pump, TCS taper control, and Mitsubishi control.
